We ask all teachers to encourage their students to participate by attending and competing in any of the regional events. This is an Amateur Level dancers' opportunity to improve on their dance and hone their competition skills. An avenue to dance with other dancers from across the country which, too, will improve their dance. AANCE is the only Amateur Novice tour in the country and we ask all regions to participate. This is the only way to assure the future of our dance and all dance events.
 
Qualifying Categories held:
Amateur Novice Jack & Jill
Amateur Novice Strictly Swing
Non Pro/Intermediate Jack & Jill
Non Pro/Intermediate Strictly Swing
 
The winners from each of these categories, from each participating event, will then go head to head in one super National Championship event, held each January at the Americas' Classic Championships, in Houston.
 
The winners of each category in this super event, will then have earned the title of National Amateur Champion Dancer in the country.
